T H E Parthanes family are the most widely ostracised in RBK. Following the union of Setsdzia and Bokanthjia with Bel-Camdissi which created the modern Northern Shield, Setsdzia’s monarch insisted upon Camdissian inclusion within RBK. As a result, in the mid 31st century, Camdissian Regan Parthanes was elected to control the bustling northern Bokanthjian port of Menenaij. Menenaij and the surrounding hillside territories were carved up and taken from the Okanthjia and Belszatrjia families to do so, leaving no small amount of ill will.
The Parthanes family govern Menenaij electing heirs from within immediate family. Command is chiefly held by Raywill Parthanes.
U N L I K E their siblings, the Belszatrjias are a matriarchal commanding family who handle not only Karthinjian command, but also a civil service, Belszatirjia Civil Defence. The Belszatrjians guard Bokanthjia’s southern coast but no major port. Karthinjian command has become a secondary endeavour to the family, finding themselves marrying frequently into the Laksharji family and with it, passing over a number of territories to be governed by their brothers in Newark.
In the wake of his rejection of Karthinjian inheritance, Nakaij Laksharji, youngest son of Karthinjian commander Elleraij Laksharji, gravitated toward his mother Karina’s family and went on to gain seniority within Belszatirjia Civil Defence. Nakaij however will likely never inherit majority control of the business owing to the Belszatrjia’s tradition of electing females into their most senior roles.

B E I J D E N Okanthjia is the sole official commander of RBK Menenaij. Beijden bears no heirs, and inherited at a young age following the declining mental health of his father, who retired to spend the rest of his days in the Bokanthjian canal town of Sarne in 3197. The Okanthjias are exclusively born verithjian, marrying into families with known connections to Setsdzia’s monarchy. Beijden himself married the youngest cousin of Setsdzia’s King Arrohal III, Andreija Vilorjia, in 3214. He is yet to father any children by her, however rumours of many illegitimate children across Bokanthjia and Setsdzia are rife.
Beijden Okanthjia and Elleraij Laksharji share a close relationship with one another both personally and professionally, and hold a strong sense of camaraderie and a surprising lack of rivalry or animosity toward one another.

T H E events of Bokanthjia follow chiefly a few unusual months in the lives of the Elleraij and Katra Laksharji, Karthinjian High Commanders of RBK Newark. The Laksharji family is generally considered the smallest of all four commanding groups, consisting only of Elleraij, Katra and Nakaij Laksharji. No immediate members of the family work within RBK.
Elleraij Laksharji married Karina Belszatrjia in the autumn of 3189. They bore two children together before Karina’s death in 3195. Youngest son Nakaij officially rejected involvement in RBK Newark in 3214, after his own marriage. Katra remains Elleraij Laksharji’s sole heir, and relative to the size of their commanding hierarchy, boast the second largest number of Karthinjian servicemen in the Clossos.

T H E centre of Bokanthjia is the Setsdzian-Bokanthjian group RBK. RBK is the name given to an elite policing and investigatory body operating in parts of the Colossos. Its captains, soldiers, domestic officers and investigators are law enforcers operating alongside the Northern Shield Allied Army (NSAA), navy (NSAN), the Northern Shield Aegia (Shieldies) in Bel-Camdissi, and the Alekxantrjia Institute in Setsdzia. Karthinjians were born in Setsdzia in the 16th century, but the island of Bokanthjia has since become the hub for all Karthinjian activity.
Karthinjians come in many ranks but are ultimately governed by one of four families in Bokanthjia regardless of where they are trained or posted. These are the Okanthjias, Laksharjis, Belszatrjias, and Parthaneses.
